Walked a Mile

I walked a mile on the treadmill yesterday in 21:57. The first half killed me, the second half was boring but not uncomfortable. The GERD pains go away when I exercise; it's so unnerving.

Holly Trimming

I pruned four wheelbarrow loads worth of holly branches yesterday. I didn't feel good after; my feet hurt pretty bad. I should've drunk more water to avoid getting gouty. No chest pains from gastritis until I was done. It's freaky having chest pains all the time. Imagine having random burning in your chest and collarbone for a month. It's quite unnerving, even though from my blood tests I know that I have fine. My cholesterol is 191; I'm fine, but it's still odd feeling. No one worry about me....I have been to the doctor four times, and I'm a picture of cardiac health. My pains are referred pain from my stomach. I've got an appointment in two weeks with a specialist; maybe he'll get to the bottom of the problem.

Raking leaves

I raked leaves for about 30 mins yesterday. I plan to do some more yardwork today.

Feeling Better

So, I've been really not feeling well for the last three weeks with really awful gastritis and back pain. I've got an appointment with a specialist in two weeks, so maybe I can get some idea of why I keep having really bad gastritis and other gastro-intestinal ailments.

Friday was the first day that I had really had an energy in awhile. Saturday I worked in the yard for four straight hours. I was a little sore yesterday, but I got a lot done.

Good Blood Work

Had some blood work done last week. Just got word from the doctor's office that all my tests are normal. Normal Lipids, Triglycerides, GGT, Blood Sugar Sex Majik. My family are freaks of nature. We are morbidly obese people with really good blood chemistry.

It's these other crazy diseases that take us out, like pneumonia, cancer, and that bastard CJD.

0.7 miles in 15 mins

That's a pace of 21:42. I walked home from school today, but that's all down hill, so it's not like the 2.0 incline on the treadmill. I also walked around campus more than normal today. Breakfast was a protein bar, lunch was a big salad with olive oil dressing. Dinner is turkey chili. It's dark meat, but I'm not really worried about contents, just portion control and that it tastes good.

First Mile

So, since I keep plateauing on the South Beach Diet, and since my job keeps me at a desk most of the day, I need some exercise.

I'm using this blog to keep track of how often I actually get some exercise.

I just walked a mile on a 2.0 incline in 21:51. My calfs burned at halfway, and my heartburn acted up, but I pushed through it all. Man, treadmill walking is so boring. Even with the iTunes on random party shuffle, I get so damned bored. I can walk much faster on the treadmill vs. actual walking outside, so that's good, but it's much more entertaining to walk and get somewhere.

Let's see if I keep at this or not.
